Entre los días 9 y 12 de diciembre de 2014 se desarrolló el I Congreso Internacional de Ciencias Forenses y Criminalística, organizado por el Colegio Criminalistas de Chile A.G., con la colaboración de la Universidad de Chile, realizándose en dependencias de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile.

El evento reunió a especialistas nacionales e internacionales en diversas áreas de la criminalística y las ciencias forenses, constituyéndose en un espacio de intercambio académico y fortalecimiento técnico en el ámbito pericial.

En esta instancia participé como miembro del comité organizador, colaborando en la planificación y desarrollo académico del congreso. Asimismo, intervine como expositor con la ponencia titulada “Banco Nacional de Huellas Balísticas”, presentación orientada a la relevancia de los sistemas de registro, comparación e identificación balística como herramienta estratégica para la investigación criminal y el fortalecimiento institucional en materia de análisis pericial.

La exposición abordó fundamentos técnicos y organizacionales vinculados a la implementación y gestión de bancos de datos balísticos, destacando su impacto en la investigación científica del delito.
